Home Bar Picks, established December 2017 by Darren Ebona, is one of the go-to, no-BS, and comprehensive resource websites to learn about home bars. Home Bar Picks features a dedicated Home Bar Gift Guide page, for those who have family or friends that have house bars or they’re thinking of building their own minibars. Moreover, Home Bar Picks also have special corners for Cocktail Mixes, Beer and Wine Homebrew, and Home Bar Inspiration.
Let’s face it, some of us want to have an indoor bar (but really, who doesn’t?) but have no clue on what essentials to place in it and where to buy those essentials. I had that same problem. See, I’m an occasional drinker, maybe a bottle or twelve a week, that mostly drank in the living room. Drinking in a living room is fine if you’re alone or have one or two companions joining you. But having a couple of your friends aboard, your living room might not seem enough to complete the drinking experience. That’s when I started thinking of building my own in-home bar in an unused portion of my house, and I drank happily ever after with my drinking buddies.
WRONG. Building my own at-home bar was a rough ride. There are only a handful of websites out there and only a limited amount of information I can get from my family and friends on how to build a home bar. There I was blindly traversing my way through house bar Neverland in the quest of finding how to build the perfect mini bar. I remember how difficult it was getting a bar cabinet fit in the intended space or how to compute for the perfect barstool height for your bar cabinet or bar table. But in the end, I managed to go over it with trial and error and a few bucks and of my time wasted here and there.
Home Bar Picks is the culmination of what I’ve learned from building my own indoor bar. I don’t want anyone wasting money and time on building an in-home bar. An at-home bar is built for enjoyment, so the process of building or starting one must be equally enjoyable. The contents of Home Bar Picks is completely devoted to helping normal joes and maybe those who are well off getting their home bars built and started with a no-frills house bar guides, reviews, and recommendations.
